Inleiding.
Magazijn en kantoorpand, gebouwd in 1915-1916 naar ontwerp van de architect ir. J. Limburg voor de firma R.S. Stokvis Koninklijke Fabriek voor Metaalwaren. De gevel is een vroeg voorbeeld van het expressionisme in de architectuur. Het pand is opgenomen in de straatwand met aaneengesloten bebouwing. Omschrijving.
Pand op rechthoekige plattegrond bestaande uit drie bouwlagen onder een plat dak. Het bezit een met Travertijnse steen beklede lijstgevel van gesloten karakter. De gevel wordt omlijst door gecanneleerde pilasters met sobere, blokvormige kapitelen, die een brede daklijst dragen. De rechthoekige ingangspartij vertoont tegen de omlijsting in reliëf uitgevoerde figuren. Aan weerszijden van de ingang smalle vensters met brede middendorpels. Het gevelvlak boven de ingang wordt doorsneden door twee reeksen van vijf smalle vensters met decoratief glas-in-lood, waaronder een dorpel. Voor het pand staan vier eenvoudige, blokvormige stoeppalen van Travertijnse steen.
