Omschrijving
VAAS OP SOKKEL. Laat 19e-eeuwse monumentale betonnen komvormige tuinvaas rustende op vier leeuwepoten met vrij hangende guirlandes langs de hals. De vaas staat op een rechthoekige betonnen sokkel met paneelvormige vakken op de zijden en met geprofileerde voet en afdekplaat. Volgens de overlevering is de vaas op een Wereldtentoonstelling te Brussel - wellicht de tentoonstelling uit 1897 - gekocht. Op de buik van de vaas een koperen naamplaatje met de tekst: "Pierres Moulees BLATON AUBERT 4 rue du pavillon Schaerbeek".
De vaas werd na de Tweede Wereldoorlog opgesteld in het geometrisch omgrensde tuingedeelte direct ten noorden van het huis; hiervoor stond de vaas in het formele tuingedeelte direct ten zuiden van het huis en is op deze plaats zichtbaar op een foto uit 1901.

Description
VASE ON PEDESTAL. Late 19th-century monumental concrete bowl-shaped garden vase resting on four lion paws with freely hanging garlands along the neck. The vase stands on a rectangular concrete pedestal with panel-shaped compartments on the sides and with moulded base and capping plate. According to tradition the vase was purchased at a World Exhibition in Brussels - possibly the exhibition from 1897. On the body of the vase a copper nameplate with the text: "Pierres Moulees BLATON AUBERT 4 rue du pavillon Schaerbeek".
The vase was placed after the Second World War in the geometrically bounded garden section directly north of the house; previously the vase stood in the formal garden section directly south of the house and is visible in this location in a photograph from 1901.
