In 1862 in de Hoge Maasdijk gebouwde inundatiesluis nabij het fort Hedikhuizen.
Bakstenen uit drie smalle kokers bestaande sluis, gelegen in het dijklichaam, met hefschuiven aan de binnendijkse en buitendijkse kant;de schuiven kunnen worden bediend door een heugelstang, die door een op de dijk geplaatste tandwielkast loopt.
De uit 1862 daterende inundatiesluis bij fort Hedikhuizen is van rijksbelang vanwege cultuurhistorische (krijgskundige) en architectuurhistorische (relatief zeldzaam) waarde.

Description
Inundation sluice built in 1862 in the Hoge Maasdijk near fort Hedikhuizen.
Brick sluice consisting of three narrow conduits, located in the dike body, with lifting gates on the inner-dike and outer-dike sides; the gates can be operated by a rocking rod, which runs through a gear box placed on the dike.
The inundation sluice dating from 1862 at fort Hedikhuizen is of national importance owing to cultural-historical (military) and architectural-historical (relatively rare) value.
