HARDSTENEN CONSOLE. Voluutvormige hardstenen console uit ca. 1700, die na de Tweede Wereldoorlog in de as van de doorgang van het poortgebouw op het voorplein werd geplaatst.
Oorspronkelijk stond deze console, waarvan het basement ontbreekt, elders in de binnentuin opgesteld. Waarschijnlijk droeg de console vanouds een zonnewijzer, die wachtende op een opknapbeurt is opgeslagen. Tegenwoordig draagt de console een zinken tuinvaas.

Description
HARDSTONE CONSOLE. Volute-shaped hardstone console from ca. 1700, which after the Second World War was placed in the axis of the passage of the gateway building on the front courtyard.
Originally this console, of which the base is missing, was positioned elsewhere in the inner courtyard. The console probably originally bore a sundial, which is stored awaiting restoration. Currently the console bears a zinc garden vase.
