Segment van verdedigingswerk vesting Muiden, deel uitmakend van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. Het werk bestaat uit een aanleg van aardwerken, gracht en bijbehorende bebouwing en objecten zoals hierna genoemd.
De aanleg is het zuidoostelijk deel van de vesting Muiden en omvat een bastion en voorliggende natte gracht.
Op bastion IX bevindt zich een grondgedekte dubbele kanonremise (gebouw F).
