Segment van verdedigingswerk vesting Muiden, deel uitmakend van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. Het werk bestaat uit een aanleg van aardwerken, natte gracht en bijbehorende bebouwing en objecten zoals hierna genoemd.
De aanleg is een oostelijk deel van de vesting Muiden en omvat de courtine tussen bastion VIII en bastion IX en voorliggende natte gracht.
Op de courtine bevindt zich een betonnen groepsschuilplaats.
