Inleiding.
Herenhuis op rechthoekige plattegrond uit 1881 in eclectische stijl, gebouwd door de metselaar en aannemer C.M. van Vianen als onderdeel van een vrijstaand ensemble van drie herenhuizen.
Omschrijving.
Middelste pand van een symmetrisch ontworpen groep van drie eclectische herenhuizen. Dit pand is risalerend ten opzichte van de belendende panden en benadrukt hierdoor de symmetrische opzet van de groep. Het heeft bovendien de rijkste voorgevel.
Het herenhuis is opgetrokken in schoon metselwerk met langs de voorgevel cordonlijsten tussen de bouwlagen, die de gevel horizontaal geleed. Het pand bestaat uit drie hoge bouwlagen onder een kap en is vier vensterassen breed. De oorspronkelijke deur, gesitueerd in de tweede travee van rechts is circa 1935 vervangen door het huidige exemplaar. De houten vensters in de voorgevel zijn T- en H-vensters; op de parterre schuifvensters, op de verdiepingen naar binnen draaiende stolpramen. Voor de vensters van de eerste en tweede verdieping zijn gietijzeren raamhekken gesitueerd. De geprofileerde vensteromlijstingen zijn voorzien van rijk geornamenteerde kuifstukken. De kroonlijst is van hout en in het fries zijn panelen en terra cotta consoles aangebracht in neo Lodewijk-XVI-stijl. De dubbele dakkapel heeft een gebogen fronton.
Waardering.
Herenhuis van architectuurhistorisch belang als goed gedetailleerd voorbeeld van eclectische woonhuisarchitectuur. Als onderdeel van een vrijstaand, symmetrisch opgezette groep van drie herenhuizen heeft het tevens een belangrijke ensemblewaarde.

Central building of a symmetrically designed group of three eclectic town houses. This building is projecting (risalit) in relation to the adjoining buildings and by doing so emphasises the symmetrical arrangement of the group. It also has the richest front facade.
The town house is constructed in fair-faced brickwork with cordon mouldings along the front facade between the storeys, which articulate the facade horizontally. The building consists of three high storeys under a roof and is four window bays wide. The original door, located in the second bay from the right, was replaced around 1935 by the current example. The wooden windows in the front facade are T- and H-windows; on the ground floor sash windows, on the upper floors inward-opening casement windows. Cast iron window grilles are situated in front of the windows of the first and second storeys. The moulded window surrounds are provided with richly ornamented hood mouldings. The cornice is wooden and in the frieze there are panels and terracotta consoles in neo Louis XVI style. The double dormer has a curved pediment.
Valuation.
Town house of architectural historical significance as a well-detailed example of eclectic residential architecture. As part of a detached, symmetrically arranged group of three town houses, it also has important ensemble value.
