NOORDELIJKE DIENSTWONING
Dienstgebouw behorend tot het stadion-complex en gesitueerd nabij de hoek van Stadionplein en Stadionweg, in oorsprong bestemd als hulppostkantoor bij de Olympische Spelen doch naderhand ingericht tot de NOORDELIJKE DIENSTWONING; opgetrokken in baksteen met een tot twee bouwlagen op onregelmatige plattegrond met in- en uitspringende cubische bouwvolumes onder samenstel van platte daken en een met zwarte pannen gedekt, steil lessenaarsdak aan de oostzijde. De zeer verschillend ingedeelde - en naderhand deels gewijzigde - gevels zijn alle voorzien van vensters met houten kozijnen, waaronder ook horizontale bovenlichten. Aan de zuidwestzijde op de verdieping een rechthoekige loggia; beneden wordt de noordgevel voortgezet in een afscheidingsmuur die haaks staat op de afsluitmuur van de entreepartij van het stadionterrein.

Dienstgebouw van zakelijk-expressionistische architectuur en van belang als onderdeel van het Olympisch Stadion-complex.

Description
NORTHERN SERVICE DWELLING
Service building belonging to the stadium complex and situated near the corner of Stadionplein and Stadionweg, originally intended as an auxiliary post office during the Olympic Games but subsequently converted into the NORTHERN SERVICE DWELLING; constructed in brick with one to two storeys on an irregular ground plan with recessed and protruding cubic building volumes under a set of flat roofs and a steep lean-to roof covered with black tiles on the east side. The very differently arranged - and subsequently partly altered - facades are all provided with windows with wooden frames, including also horizontal fanlights. On the south-west side on the upper floor a rectangular loggia; below, the north facade continues in a partition wall which is at right angles to the enclosure wall of the entrance area of the stadium grounds.
