Omschrijving
Een 16e eeuwse boerderij met schuur, gelegen aan de Kromme Rijn.
Deze boerderij van het 'T-huis' type is voor wat betreft het woonhuisgedeelte 16e eeuws, de kap is echter rond 1940 vernieuwd. De opkamer heeft een dekking van moer- en kinderbalken met sleutelstukken. De andere ruimten hebben een enkelvoudige balklaag met bijzonder slanke balken. Onder de opkamer is een kelder met tongewelf aanwezig.
Het bedrijsgedeelte is een driebeukige ruimte met eiken ankergebinten. De gebinten bestaan uit stijlen op stenen poeren, ankerbalken met pen en wig en schoren. Op de ankerbalken staan 'normale' spanten.
Op het erf staan verder nog een 19e eeuwse, mogelijk oudere, wagenschuur en een hooiberg.
Deze boerderij is bouwhistorisch van belang en tevens van groot belang als, dicht bij de stad gelegen, onderdeel van het Kromme Rijn gebied.

Description
A 16th century farmhouse with barn, situated on the Kromme Rijn.
This farmhouse of the 'T-house' type is as far as the dwelling section is concerned 16th century, though the roof was renewed around 1940. The upper room has a covering of summers and joists with keystones. The other rooms have a simple joist layer with particularly slender beams. Under the upper room is a cellar with barrel vault present.
The business section is a three-aisle space with oak anchored timber frames. The frames consist of posts on stone piers, anchor beams with tenon and wedge and braces. On the anchor beams stand 'standard' roof trusses.
On the farmyard stand further a 19th century, possibly older, wagon barn and a hay store.
This farmhouse is architecturally significant and also of great importance as, situated close to the city, a component of the Kromme Rijn area.
