Omschrijving
17e-eeuws koetshuis van het huis Ledenberch (Drift 17, beschermd monument).
Groot, monumentaal opgezet gebouw van een bouwlaag en twee forse zadeldaken evenwijdig aan de straat, met centrale poort in voor- en achtergevel.
De voorpoort onder, gedrukte boog, wordt geflankeerd door twee pilasters. Aan weerszijden hiervan bevinden zich recentere poorten, waarboven dakkapellen op de plaats van een oudere onderbreking in de gootlijst. Het fries wordt gekornist over de pilasters voortgezet. Links van de poort zit een oculus. De achtergevel heeft een geprofileerde kroonlijst. De centrale achterpoort is gevat in een houten omlijsting en heeft onder een hoofdgestel pilasters met bosschages waarop omlijst middenveld, beëindigd in spiegelbogen. Boven de poort een half rond bovenlicht met uit het midden stralende roeden. Aan weerszijden van de poort behoren twee grote vensters tot de opzet van de gevel.
De topgevels zijn afgedekt met natuurstenen waterlijsten en hebben zandstenen voluten op de schouders, met name aan de achterzijde rijk bewerkt en met draperie gesierd.
Het koetshuis beslaat de gehele breedte van het erf. Aan de oude opzet van de claustrale percelen herinnert de middeleeuwse erfafscheiding, waarop de achterste rechter topgevel rust, en die van daaruit naar het westen loopt.
De voorste topgevel is van oudere oorsprong, terwijl de linker topgevels van middeleeuwse steen zijn gebouwd.
Het pand is van grote architectonische waarde en tevens van historische waarde vanwege zijn plaats in de stedebouwkundige structuur. Het is van groot belang voor de opzet van het erf van Drift 17.

Description
Seventeenth-century coach house of the house Ledenberch (Drift 17, protected monument).
Large, monumentally conceived building of one storey and two substantial saddle roofs parallel to the street, with central gate in front and rear facades.
The front gate under a depressed arch is flanked by two pilasters. On either side of these are more recent gates, above which are dormers in the place of an older break in the gutter line. The frieze is extended with cornice over the pilasters. To the left of the gate is an oculus. The rear facade has a profiled cornice. The central rear gate is set in a wooden frame and has under a lintel pilasters with rustication on which enclosed central field, terminated in arch spandrels. Above the gate a half-round fanlight with radiating glazing bars from the centre. On either side of the gate belong two large windows to the design of the facade.
The gables are finished with natural stone drip mouldings and have sandstone volutes on the shoulders, in particular richly worked on the rear and decorated with drapery.
The coach house spans the entire width of the plot. The medieval boundary of the plot, on which the rear right gable rests and which runs from there to the west, recalls the old design of the claustral parcels.
The front gable is of older origin, while the left gables are built of medieval stone.
The building is of great architectural value and also of historical value because of its place in the urban planning structure. It is of great importance for the design of the plot of Drift 17.
