Pand van twee bouwlagen met nok loodrecht op de straat, bestaande uit een middeleeuws eenlaagshuis met kap (met de nok evenwijdig aan de straat), in de 17e of 18e eeuw vergroot tot (voor)huis van twee bouwlagen met een zadeldak met voorschild, waarachter een achterhuis op bredere plattegrond van eveneens twee bouwlagen en zadeldak dat ter hoogte van het voorhuis afgeplat is en een voorschild heeft. De lijstgevel is twee vakken breed.
Van het oorspronkelijke huis, dat vermoedelijk een geheel vormde met Keizerstraat 16, is op de verdieping de linker tuitgevel bewaard met kaarsenis.
Het steenformaat is 29,5 x 13,5 x 6,5 cm. Boven de beganegrond bevindt zich een samengestelde balklaag.
Het pand heeft bouwhistorische waarde. Van oorsprong waarschijnlijk het koetshuis van het claustrale huis aan de Drift nr.15, heeft het van 1898 tot 1962 heeft deel uitgemaakt van de edelsmederij van de familie Brom en is derhalve ook van belang als monument van bedrijf en techniek.

Description
Building of two storeys with ridge perpendicular to the street, consisting of a medieval single-storey house with roof truss (with the ridge parallel to the street), enlarged in the seventeenth or eighteenth century to a (front) building of two storeys with a saddle roof with foreclosure, behind which a rear building on broader ground plan of likewise two storeys and saddle roof which is truncated at the level of the front building and has a foreclosure. The cornice-topped facade is two bays wide.
Of the original house, which presumably formed a single unit with Keizerstraat 16, the left spout gable with hood moulding is preserved on the upper storey.
The stone format is 29.5 x 13.5 x 6.5 cm. Above the ground floor is a composite beam-joist layer.
The building has building-historical value. Originally presumably the coach house of the claustral house at the Drift no. 15, it formed part from 1898 to 1962 of the metalworking shop of the Brom family and is therefore also of importance as a monument of industry and technology.
