Een 17e eeuws huis met twee bouwlagen, kelders en een kap met de nok loodrecht op de straat.
De Jeruzalemstraat dankt haar naam aan het Regulieren- of Jeruzalemklooster. In 1632, na de afbraak van het klooster, werd het mogelijk de erven aan de westzijde van de straat te bebouwen met woonhuizen. Ook Jeruzalemstraat 17 behoorde tot die bouwactiviteiten.
Het huis heeft op de beganegrond aan de achterzijde een soort opkamer boven een kelder. De kelder onder het voorhuis is veel lager. De enkelvoudige balklagen hebben 17e eeuwse consoles. In de 18e of 19e eeuw zijn de gevels van hun top ontdaan, waardoor ook enige verbouwingen aan de kap noodzakelijk werden. De oorspronkelijke onderpui in de voorgevel is gerestaureerd.
Het pand is bouwhistorisch van belang, maar bovenal is het belangrijk als onderdeel van de bouwactiviteiten (als gevolg van de sloop van het Regulierenklooster) na de reformatie.

Description
A seventeenth-century house with two storeys, cellars and a roof with the ridge perpendicular to the street.
The Jeruzalemstraat owes its name to the Regulieren or Jeruzalem convent. In 1632, after the demolition of the convent, it became possible to build residential houses on the plots on the west side of the street. Jeruzalemstraat 17 also belonged to these building activities.
The house has on the ground floor at the rear a kind of upper chamber above a cellar. The cellar under the front building is much lower. The simple beam-joist layers have seventeenth-century corbels. In the eighteenth or nineteenth century the gables were deprived of their tops, which also made some alterations to the roof truss necessary. The original lower shopfront in the front facade has been restored.
The building is of building-historical importance, but above all it is important as part of the building activities (as a result of the demolition of the Regulieren convent) after the Reformation.
