Omschrijving
Een 17e eeuws voorhuis met twee bouwlagen, een kap met de nok evenwijdig aan de straat en een kelder, met een vroeg 19e eeuws achterhuis van drie lagen en een kap loodrecht op de straat.
Het huis is in opzet een middeleeuws pand, mogelijk oorspronkelijk het achterhuis van Herenstraat 42. De kelder met een tongewelf en het muurwerk zullen voor een belangrijk deel middeleeuws zijn. In de 17e eeuw is binnen de oorspronkelijke muren een nieuw huis gebouwd, waarvan in de 19e eeuw een deel tot Herenstraat 42 behoorde. Waarschijnlijk betrof het hier allen het rechter deel van de beganegrond, hetgeen in de gevelindeling herkenbaar is.
De enkelvoudige grenen balklaag en de kap, zonder spant, behoren tot de 17e eeuwse opzet, evenals de spiltrap van beganegrond tot zolder. De binnenzijde van de achtermuur van het voorhuis is bekleed met witte tegels. Op het dak van het voorhuis valt de dakkapel met tympaan op.
In de 19e eeuw is in de as van het voorhuis een veel smaller achterhuis aangebouwd. Dit achterhuis heeft de linker zijmuur gemeen met een voorganger.

Description
A seventeenth-century front building with two storeys, a roof with the ridge parallel to the street and a cellar, with an early nineteenth-century rear building of three storeys and a roof perpendicular to the street.
The house is in plan a medieval building, possibly originally the rear building of Herenstraat 42. The cellar with a barrel vault and the masonry will for an important part be medieval. In the seventeenth century a new house was built within the original walls, of which in the nineteenth century a part belonged to Herenstraat 42. Probably this concerned only the right part of the ground floor, which is recognizable in the facade layout.
The simple pine beam-joist layer and the roof, without rafters, belong to the seventeenth-century plan, as does the spiral stair from ground floor to attic. The interior of the rear wall of the front building is lined with white tiles. On the roof of the front building the dormer window with tympanum stands out.
In the nineteenth century a much narrower rear building was constructed in the axis of the front building. This rear building shares the left side wall with a predecessor.
The building is a fine example of a seventeenth-century simple small house, with a fine facade.
