Het boerderij-achtig karakter van het pand herinnert aan de voormalige agrarische functie van dit gebied. Als zodanig is deze eenlaagse bebouwing karakteristiek voor deze omgeving en inmiddels zeldzaam.
Het pand is van bouwhistorisch belang en historisch.
