Omschrijving
Klein 18e eeuws aan de werf gelegen achterhuis van Twijnstraat 45, bestaande uit een laag met kap.
Kenmerkend voor dit deel van de Twijnstraat is de grote afstand van de straat tot de werf, wat tot uiting komt in tuinen met achterbebouwing.
Het achterhuis is min of meer bedoeld als werkplaats of pakhuis.
Het eenlaags huis heeft een zadeldak met de nok loodrecht op de werf, gevat tussen twee tuitgevels. De aan het water gelegen gevel is gepleisterd en is in 1955 vernieuwd. De ongepleisterde achtergevel heeft vlechtingen in de top.
De onderbouw heeft een enkelvoudige balklaag. Hierboven bevindt zich een eenvoudige gebintenkap.

Description
Small 18th century rear house of Twijnstraat 45, located at the yard, consisting of one storey with roof truss structure.
Characteristic of this part of the Twijnstraat is the great distance from the street to the yard, which is reflected in gardens with rear buildings.
The rear house was more or less intended as a workshop or storehouse.
The single-storey house has a gabled roof with the ridge perpendicular to the yard, flanked by two spout gables. The facade facing the water is plastered and was renewed in 1955. The unplastered rear facade has wattle and daub at the top.
The substructure has a simple beam layer. Above this is a simple roof truss structure.
The building is of historical importance in the structure of the Twijnstraat and the Oudegracht.
