Omschrijving
Middeleeuws pand bestaande uit de helft van een dwarshuis. Het pand met gepleisterde lijstgevel van twee vensters breed bevat drie bouwlagen met zadeldak evenwijdig aan de straat en heeft een kelder.
Het pand vormt een geheel met het rechter buurpand en is qua opzet een middeleeuws dwarshuis voor een ouder achterhuis. Van dit geheel bevat Schoutenstraat 2 de linker twee van het vijf vakken brede huis en de linker van de drie kelders loodrecht op de rooilijn. De gepleisterde lijstgevel is drie bouwlagen hoog, de forse rijke muurankers die boven beide verdiepingen de vakken scheiden zijn bij Schoutenstraat 2 bewaard gebleven. Het zadeldak loopt evenwijdig aan de straat.
Het pand is van bouwhistorisch belang en bepalend voor het historisch straatkarakter.

Description
A medieval building consisting of half of a transverse house. The building with plastered cornice-topped facade of two windows wide contains three storeys with gabled roof parallel to the street and has a cellar.
The building forms a whole with the right adjoining building and in terms of layout is a medieval transverse house for an older rear building. Of this whole, Schoutenstraat 2 contains the left two of the five bay wide house and the left of the three cellars perpendicular to the building line. The plastered cornice-topped facade is three storeys high, the strong ornamental wall anchors that above both storeys separate the bays are preserved at Schoutenstraat 2. The gabled roof runs parallel to the street.
The building is of architectural historical importance and determining for the historic street character.
