DROGENAPSTOREN. In oorsprong zware stadspoort (Saltspoort), gebouwd 1444-'46 bestaande uit een vierkante ondergeleding, bekroond door een gekanteelde borstwering met op de hoeken achtzijdige, uitgekraagde torentjes en op deze ondergeleding een rijzige achtzijdige lantaarn, afgesloten door een boogfries en overdekte borstwering met schietgaten. Hoge, metalen spits (XIXd) met dakkapellen en leien dekking. Restauraties 1888 en 1952 tot heden.

Description
DROGENAPSTOREN. Originally heavy city gate (Saltspoort), built 1444-'46 consisting of a square lower bay, crowned by a crenellated battlement with on the corners octagonal, corbelled turrets and on this lower bay a lofty octagonal lantern, closed off by an arch frieze and covered battlement with loopholes. High, metal spire (XIXd) with roof dormers and slate cladding. Restorations 1888 and 1952 to present.
