Inleiding
BOERDERIJCOMPLEX bestaande uit:
- BOERDERIJ gebouwd in ambachtelijk traditionele stijl volgens het hallehuis-type met middenlangsdeel. In de noordelijke gevel is het jaartalanker 1756 aangebracht. De boerderij is inmiddels verbouwd waarbij in het achterhuis een tweede woning is gerealiseerd.
- BIJSCHUUR gebouwd in een ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl. Vermoedelijk met als oudste datum 1756 en daarna uitgebreid. De schuur was in gebruik als opslagruimte en potstal.
- ERFAANLEG rondom boerderij en bijschuur. Voor wat de bescherming betreft gaat het om de oorspronkelijke elementen en niet om de (overigens met smaak) toegevoegde elementen zoals een siertuin met keibestrating en buxushaag alsmede de beukenhaag.
Complex gebouwd in een ambachtelijk traditionele stijl. Daarnaast is ook de ERFAANLEG van belang.
Omschrijving
- BOERDERIJ met voorhuis en schuur opgetrokken in baksteen. Het voorhuis wordt gedekt door een asymmetrische kap met wolfseind, deels met geglazuurde hollandse pan belegd en deels met riet; twee schoorstenen in de nok. Asymmetrische voorgevel met kwarthol ingezwenkte zijstukken en een geprofileerde daklijst; keldervenster met diefijzers; opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht voorzien van snijwerk; aan weerskanten zesruits schuifvensters; verdieping met negenruits schuifvensters. Oostzijde voorhuis heeft een opgewipt dakvlak. Gevels deels met een gesloten karakter waarin alleen twee rechtgesloten keldervensters met diefijzers; staafankers. Links daarvan twee achttienruits vensters met kalf, diefijzers en luiken voor het onderste deel; (vernieuwde) opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht waarnaast een vierruits venster met daarboven een klein venster voorzien van diefijzers. Westzijde voorhuis opbouw met staafankers en gietijzeren goot; vier zesruits schuiframen; hardstenen stoep met een opgeklampte deur voorzien van bovenlicht. Vlechting in de sprong. Achterhuis gebaseerd op ankerbalkgebinten en voorzien van een rietdak met wolfseind en uilebord. Achtergevel voorzien van vlechting, rechtgesloten baander waartegenaan een loopdeur (inmiddels venster) met twintigruits bovenlicht; tegen de rechter baanderhoek is een negenruits venster met diefijzers geplaatst. Rechterkant met twee loopdeuren waarboven een ontlastingsboog. De linkerkant bevat een rechtgesloten loopdeur (venster) en een hoger geplaatst negenruits venster met diefijzers. West- en oostgevel met een afwisselend patroon vanmestdeuren en halfronde gietijzeren stalvensters. De aansluiting naar het woonhuis heeft aan de westzijde een lichte gevelverhoging waarin enkele vierruitsvensters en een kelderluik zijn geplaatst.
- Met riet gedekte (enkele delen met hollandse pannen) BIJSCHUUR gebaseerd op een aantal ankerbalkgebinten. Gevelopbouw deels met een gemetselde basis en voor het overige in hout opgetrokken (deels potdekselwerk) en voorzien van baanderdeuren, wagendeuren en loopdeuren.
- ERFAANLEG bestaande uit een oprijlaan, een achtererf en looppaden rondom de boerderij van keibestrating en enkele delen met klinkers. Het erf achter de bijschuur bevat karakteristieke eikebomen en een (weer opengegraven) dobbe.
Waardering Het boerderijcomplex is van cultuurhistorisch belang vanwege de afleesbare ontwikkeling van het boerenbedrijf, van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de vormgeving, het materiaalgebruik en de typologie. Daarnaast is het complex van stedebouwkundig belang vanwege het aanzien van de streek (waarbij de relatie met Ten Arlo zeer sterk speelt).

The front house is covered by an asymmetrical roof truss with half-hipped end, partly laid with glazed Dutch tiles and partly with thatch; two chimneys in the ridge. Asymmetrical front gable with quarter-cylindrical inset side pieces and a moulded cornice; cellar window with security bars; clamped door with fanlight provided with carved work; on either side six-light sash windows; first storey with nine-light sash windows. East side of front house has a raised roof plane. Gables partly with a closed character containing only two right-angled cellar windows with security bars; wall anchors. To the left thereof two eighteen-light windows with calf window, security bars and shutters for the lower part; (renewed) clamped door with fanlight beside which a four-light window with above it a small window provided with security bars. West side front house construction with wall anchors and cast-iron gutter; four six-light sash frames; stone step with a clamped door provided with fanlight. Wattle and daub in the springing. Rear house based on anchor beam framing and provided with a thatched roof with half-hipped end and owl board. Rear gable provided with wattle and daub, right-angled plank wall against which a door (now window) with twenty-light fanlight; against the right plank wall corner a nine-light window with security bars is placed. Right side with two doors above which a relieving arch. The left side contains a right-angled door (window) and a higher placed nine-light window with security bars. West and east gable with an alternating pattern of manure doors and half-round cast-iron stable windows. The connection to the residential house has on the west side a slight gable heightening in which several four-light windows and a cellar hatch are placed.
- Thatch-covered (some parts with Dutch tiles) OUTBUILDING SHED based on a number of anchor beam frames. Gable construction partly with a mortared base and for the remainder built in timber (partly in pot-tile work) and provided with plank walls, cart doors and doors.
