SCHUUR. Bakstenen schuur onder met grijze pannen gedekt wolfdak met uileborden en gevelmakelaars. Wellicht dateert de schuur, die oorspronkelijk als boerderij en koetshuis werd gebruikt, uit de tijd van de bouw van het huis. De plattegrond van de schuur is weergegeven op de plattegrond van de stad Assen uit 1809 door P.A.C. van Buwama Aardenburg. Getuige een gedenksteen in de schuur onderging deze in 1868 een ingrijpende verbouwing, waarbij de schuur met het huidige wolfsdak werd overkapt en van een nieuwe deur- en vensterindeling werd voorzien. In de door een brede kroonlijst afgesloten westgevel aan de linkerzijde een dubbele deur met getoogd bovenlicht; rechts twee halfronde vensters met 22-ruitsindeling met in het veld van de halfronde bovenzijde een gebogen en twee diagonale roeden. Noordgevel: zes gietijzeren over de gehele gevelbreedte geplaatste roosvensters. Oostgevel: van links naar rechts: een deur, een halfrond venster op ooghoogte met een gebogen, een verticale en twee diagonale roeden, een deur als boven, een venster als boven, een dubbele houten deur. Zuidgevel: van links naar rechts: een halfrond venster met twee diagonale roeden, een rond venster met 4-ruitsindeling, een deur, twee halfronde vensters als boven, een deur als boven, drie getoogde vensters met 8-ruitsindeling.

Description
BARN. Brick barn covered with a half-hipped roof with grey tiles, owl boards and gable makers. The barn, which was originally used as a farm building and coach house, possibly dates from the time of construction of the house. The floor plan of the barn is shown on the city plan of Assen from 1809 by P.A.C. van Buwama Aardenburg. According to a commemorative stone in the barn, it underwent a major renovation in 1868, during which the barn was covered with the current half-hipped roof and provided with a new arrangement of doors and windows. On the west gable at the left side, terminated by a broad cornice, a double door with arched fanlight; on the right two semicircular windows with 22-pane glazing with in the field of the semicircular upper part a curved and two diagonal glazing bars. North gable: six cast-iron grille windows placed across the entire width of the gable.
