Omschrijving
Rechtzijdig 18e- en 19e-eeuws MUURWERK rond de voormalige boomgaard en moestuin aan de noordwestzijde van het noordwestelijke bouwhuis, omlopend langs de noord- en noordwestzijde van de gracht.
Het binnen het aldus omsloten terrein aanwezige muurwerk, dat dit terrein in kavels opsplitst, is van recentere datum - het is niet voorkomend op een K.L.M.-luchtfoto van Ampsen uit ca. 1930 - en is voor de historische aanleg van ondergeschikte betekenis.
Aan de noordzijde is de muur hoger dan het overige gedeelte; tegen deze muur bevonden zich oorspronkelijk de hoog geplaatste lessenaars van een voormalige druivenkas. Tussen de aan de gracht gelegen gevel van het noordwestelijk bouwhuis en de muur een smalle opening met enkele treden, die naar de gracht afdalen. Description
Straight-sided 18th and 19th-century MASONRY surrounding the former orchard and kitchen garden on the northwestern side of the northwestern farmhouse, running along the north and northwestern side of the canal.
The masonry existing within the thus enclosed area, which divides this area into plots, is of more recent date - it does not appear in a K.L.M. aerial photograph of Ampsen from c. 1930 - and is of subordinate significance to the historical layout.
On the north side the wall is higher than the rest; against this wall were originally situated the high-placed reading desks of a former grape house. Between the gable of the northwestern farmhouse facing the canal and the wall is a narrow opening with a few steps that descend to the canal. On this side the wall is terminated by a composite corner pier with a basement.
