Omschrijving
Nabij de Hoofdstraat gelegen laat 18e eeuwse Fundatiewoningen (twee aaneengebouwde woningen van een bouwlaag tussen topgevels onder een dwars zadeldak). De twee woningen hebben een in blokverband gepleisterde voorgevel en een geprofileerde kroonlijst. De linker woning kent een enkele paneeldeur met bovenlicht met links daarvan een 20-ruits schuiframen met luiken; de rechter woning heeft een dubbele paneeldeur met bovenlicht en rechts daarvan twee 20-ruits schuifvensters met luiken en links daarvan een 20-ruits schuifvenster met luiken. In de rechter zijgevel bevindt zich een 16-ruiter zonder luik aan de rechter zijde, links een 20-ruiter met luiken, op de verdieping een 20-ruiter zonder luiken en onder de kap een 4-ruiter. In de linker zijgevel een later venster en deur op de b.g. en een venster met rondboog op de verdieping. Tegen de achtergevel een uitbouw onder aankapping met een strokendeur met bovenlicht, twee 10-ruiters met een luik en een 20-ruiter met luiken. Het dak is gedekt met oude gesmoorde pannen. Het interieur bevat twee 19e eeuwse schoorsteenboezems met gecanneleerde pilasters, een winkelbetimmering met etalage en kasten, bedsteden en in de keukens oude tegels. Beide woningen bezitten een kelder. De laat 18e eeuwse Fundatiewoningen zijn van bijzonder belang vanwege hun situering, ouderdom en typologische waarde, alsmede de gaafheid van het in- en exterieur, waaraan enerzijds de 19e eeuwse bestemming duidelijk is af te lezen, anderzijds de vele historische details de cultuurhistorische waarde nog verhogen; als zodanig zijn zij van algemeen monumentaal belang te achten.

Description
Located near the Hoofdstraat, late 18th-century Foundation houses (two adjoining houses of one storey between gabled ends under a transverse gabled roof). The two houses have a front facade plastered in block bond and a moulded cornice. The left house has a single panelled door with fanlight with to the left of it a 20-pane sash window with shutters; the right house has a double panelled door with fanlight and to the right of it two 20-pane sash windows with shutters and to the left of it a 20-pane sash window with shutters. In the right side gable is a 16-pane window without shutter on the right side, on the left a 20-pane window with shutters, on the upper storey a 20-pane window without shutters and under the roof a 4-pane window. In the left side gable a later window and door on the ground floor and a window with round arch on the upper storey. Against the rear facade an outbuilding under a lean-to roof with a ribbed door with fanlight, two 10-pane windows with a shutter and a 20-pane window with shutters. The roof is covered with old smoked tiles. The interior contains two 19th-century chimney breasts with fluted pilasters, shop fittings with display case and cupboards, bed alcoves and in the kitchens old tiles. Both houses have a cellar. The late 18th-century Foundation houses are of particular importance due to their location, age and typological value, as well as the integrity of the interior and exterior, on the one hand the 19th-century purpose is clearly evident, on the other hand the many historical details enhance the cultural-historical value; as such they are to be considered of general monumental significance.
