Neo-classicistische grafkapel, eind 19e eeuw gebouwd voor de familie Tyrell en gesitueerd op een betegelde verhoging, omgeven door een smeedijzeren hek, het geheel gelegen op de Rooms Katholieke begraafplaats. Op rechthoekige plattegrond gesitueerde grafkapel onder dwars zadeldak met de ingang in het westen en een groot cirkelvormig venster in het oosten. De wanden van de grafkapel zijn gepleisterd in een terra kleur met daarop lichtgekleurde banden, waarvan er aan de onderzijde drie smalle in reliëf zijn uitgevoerd en aan de bovenzijde een brede als fries met spiegel-motief en erboven een tandlijst is aangebracht. De vier zijden van het dak zijn voorzien van driehoekige frontons met akroteria in terra uitvoering, en een vaas midden op het fronton van de voorgevel, alsmede een kruis op de nokbalk in lichte kleurstelling. Op de frontons van de zijgevels zijn twee kruismotieven in reliëf geplaatst, op die van de voorgevel de woorden Grabstätte en Familie Tyrell op de fries. De ingangspartij bestaat uit een houten deur in een stenen omlijsting met sprongsgewijs verlopende bovendorpel; het driehoekig portaalfronton is rijk versierd met palmetten aan de bovenzijde. Het venster aan de achterzijde bezit twee haaks geplaatste roeden en is gevat in een rechthoekige terra omlijsting met drie series guttae aan de onderzijde. Achter de kapel bevindt zich de eigenlijke grafkelder, afgedekt met twee luiken. Description
Neo-classical funerary chapel, built at the end of the 19th century for the family Tyrell and situated on a tiled raised platform, surrounded by a wrought-iron railing, the whole located on the Roman Catholic cemetery. Funerary chapel situated on a rectangular plan under a transverse saddle roof with the entrance in the west and a large circular window in the east. The walls of the funerary chapel are plastered in a terra colour with light-coloured bands upon them, of which three narrow ones at the lower side are executed in relief and at the upper side a broad one is applied as a frieze with mirror motif and above it a dentil moulding. The four sides of the roof are provided with triangular pediments with acroteria in terra execution, and a vase in the middle of the pediment of the front facade, as well as a cross on the ridge board in light colouring. On the pediments of the side gables are two cross motifs in relief placed, on those of the front facade the words Grabstätte and Familie Tyrell on the frieze. The entrance section consists of a wooden door in a stone surround with a staggered upper lintel; the triangular porch pediment is richly decorated with palmettes at the upper side. The window on the rear side has two perpendicularly placed glazing bars and is set in a rectangular terra surround with three series of guttae at the lower side. Behind the chapel is the actual burial vault, covered with two shutters. The raised platform on which the chapel is placed is covered with multicoloured tiles and enclosed by an artfully forged railing with special corner decorations; the platform itself is set under this railing in a framework of open-work stone.
