17e eeuws onderaards gangenstelsel op het v.m. bolwerk Generaliteit nabij en onder de daar van ouds aanwezige molen (de huidige molen dateert XIXb).
Links van de molenvoet op 10,5 uit de westgevel gelegen gangenstelsel, bestaande uit een stenen vloer - 0,70 m boven N.A.P. - met daarop straalsgewijs uitkomend zeven gangen, met steen bekleed en overwelfd, 0,60 breed en in lengte varierend van ruim 10 tot 6,5 m, alsmede een hoofd(toe)gang onder de molenromp door breed 0,95 m en lang ruim 25 m; boven maaiveld voorts een ontluchtingskoker boven een put, die zich in de stenen vloer bevindt en 1,85 m diep is.
De meest rechtse en langste gang is thans aan de Westdam voorzien van een overdekte toegang met hekwerk; de ontluchtingskoker is boven maaiveld opgehoogd met enige lagen recent metselwerk en een afdekking.
Het gangenstelsel onder het v.m. bolwerk Generaliteit is van belang voor de geschiedenis van de vestingbouw in Nederland en als zodanig van cultuurhistorische monumentale waarde.

bestaande uit een stenen vloer - 0,70 m boven N.A.P. - met daarop
straalsgewijs uitkomend zeven gangen, met steen bekleed en overwelfd, 0,60
breed en in lengte varierend van ruim 10 tot 6,5 m, alsmede een
hoofd(toe)gang onder de molenromp door breed 0,95 m en lang ruim 25 m; boven
maaiveld voorts een ontluchtingskoker boven een put, die zich in de stenen
vloer bevindt en 1,85 m diep is.
De meest rechtse en langste gang is thans aan de Westdam voorzien van een
overdekte toegang met hekwerk; de ontluchtingskoker is boven maaiveld
opgehoogd met enige lagen recent metselwerk en een afdekking.
WAARDERING
Het gangenstelsel onder het v.m. bolwerk Generaliteit is van belang voor de

To the left of the mill foot at 10.5 from the west facade located gallery system, consisting of a stone floor - 0.70 m above N.A.P. - with seven galleries radiating out upon it, lined with stone and vaulted, 0.60 wide and varying in length from just over 10 to 6.5 m, as well as a main (access) passage under the mill body measuring 0.95 m wide and just over 25 m long; above ground level furthermore a ventilation shaft above a pit, which is located in the stone floor and is 1.85 m deep.
The rightmost and longest gallery is now at the Westdam fitted with a covered entrance with railings; the ventilation shaft is above ground level raised with several layers of recent masonry and a covering.
The gallery system beneath the f.m. bastion Generaliteit is of importance for the history of fortification construction in the Netherlands and as such is of cultural-historical monumental value.
