Sophia's Burg. Gedeelte van een complex van herenhuizen onder schilddaken, ter plaatse van een in 1471 gesticht Karthuizerklooster, dat in 1577 afbrandde, waarna op het terrein in 1751 twee huizen ter weerszijden van een poort gebouwd werden, later uitgebreid met een derde huis. In 1847-1848 eigendom van Koning Willem II. Zes- en vierdelige schuiframen met luiken. Inwendig Empire schoorsteenmantels met stucwerk. Tuinbeelden op hardstenen gebeeldhouwde voetstukken in Lodewijk-XV-stijl. Poort met geblokte pilasters. Koetshuis met korfboogpoorten.

Description
Sophia's Burg. Part of a complex of manor houses under hipped roofs, on the site of a Carthusian monastery founded in 1471, which burned down in 1577, after which two houses were built on either side of a gateway on the grounds in 1751, later extended with a third house. In 1847-1848 property of King William II. Six- and four-part sash windows with shutters. Internally Empire fireplace mantels with stucco. Garden sculptures on hard stone carved pedestals in Louis XV style. Gateway with rusticated pilasters. Coach house with segmental arch gateways.
