Omschrijving
Slot de Nijenbeek. Aan de oude Ysselbedding op een markant punt gelegen donjon, 14e eeuw, enig overblijfsel van het middeleeuwse kasteel de Nijenbeek. Over de benedenverdieping graatgewelven, hierboven twee woonverdiepingen. Inwendig onder meer een laat-gotische zandstenen schoorsteenmantel en een waarschijnlijk 17e eeuwse schouw met tegels en haardplaat uit 1600. In een der bovenvertrekken een gesneden rouwbord met flankerende pilasters en gebogen fronton, ter nagedachtenis aan Andries Baron Schimmelpenninck van der Oye, 1776, afkomstig uit de Herv. Kerk te Voorst.

Description
Slot de Nijenbeek. Located on the old Yssel bed at a prominent point, a donjon, 14th century, the sole surviving remnant of the medieval castle de Nijenbeek. Above the ground floor ribbed vaults, above these two residential storeys. Internally including a late Gothic sandstone chimney surround and a probably 17th-century chimney with tiles and a hearth slab dated 1600. In one of the upper rooms a carved mourning board with flanking pilasters and curved pediment, in memory of Andries Baron Schimmelpenninck van der Oye, 1776, originating from the Reformed Church in Voorst.
