Omschrijving
"Volmolen". BOERDERIJ (XVIII), van oudheidkundige waarde. Bakstenen, U-vormig gebouw uit de 19de eeuw met twee vleugels ter hoogte van twee bouwlagen en een zolder, deels onderkelderd, het geheel gedekt met schilddaken en twee daken (west en oost) voorzien van wolfseinden. De gevels zijn op regelmatige afstand ingedeeld met in oorsprong lichtgetoogde zesruits en achtruitsvensters, enkele dichtgemetseld, de dagkanten in een aantal gevallen uitgevoerd met blokken Naamse steen, dito onderdorpels en ijzeren duimen voor luiken; staafankers. De linker hofvleugel (west) bestaat op de begane grond uit baksteen, de verdieping is thans deels in grijze betonsteen opgetrokken. Tegen de achtergevel (noord) een ijzeren waterrad van een bovenslagmolen met toeleidende goot. Tegen de beide kopgevels van de noordvleugel een in vervallen staat verkerende aanbouw waarvan een ruimte destijds de machinekamer voor de stoommachine vormde. Aan de voorzijde (zuid) van de hoeve twee kwartrond gemetselde muren waartegen gemetselde hekpijlers met natuurstenen dekplaten (een pijler in ruïneuze staat); tussen de hekpijlers en de Weijerweg loopt over tientallen meters een onverharde en door bomen geflankeerde kaarsrechte laan ter breedte van een karrenspoor. Inwendig o.a. het volledige samenstel van twee koppels tandwielen, assen, tandwielen, maatstenen en alle verdere technische voorzieningen t.b.v. de molenfunctie.
Waardering
De bakstenen, U-vormige hoeve vertegenwoordigt algemeen belang wegens:
- de ouderdom;

Description
"Volmolen". FARMHOUSE (18th century), of archaeological value. Brick, U-shaped building from the 19th century with two wings at the height of two storeys and an attic, partly cellared, the whole covered with hipped roofs and two roofs (west and east) provided with half-hipped roofs. The facades are divided at regular intervals with originally segmental-arched six-pane and eight-pane windows, some bricked up, the reveals in a number of cases executed with blocks of Namur stone, likewise the under-sills and iron thumbs for shutters; rod anchors. The left courtyard wing (west) consists on the ground floor of brick, the upper storey is now partly constructed of grey concrete brick. Against the rear gable (north) an iron waterwheel of an overshot mill with supply gutter. Against both end gables of the north wing an outbuilding in a dilapidated state, a space of which formerly served as the engine room for the steam engine. On the front (south) of the farmhouse two quarter-round masoned walls against which are masoned gate piers with natural stone coping (one pier in ruinous state); between the gate piers and the Weijerweg runs for tens of metres an unmade and tree-flanked perfectly straight lane of the width of a cart track. Internally including the complete assembly of two pairs of gears, shafts, cog wheels, millstones and all further technical provisions for the milling function.
Valuation
The brick, U-shaped farmhouse is of general importance due to:

- the significance for the history of arable farming and the early application of water power;
- the integrity and rarity of the waterwheel and further workings belonging to the milling function and the closely connected significance for the history of mill construction and historical engineering;
- the value for architectural history and for building history;
- the spatial and visual value for the experience of the historical cultural landscape.
