In oorsprong ten behoeve van de naastgelegen korenmolen 'de Hoop' gebouwde 19e-eeuwse MOLENAARSWONING, bestaande uit een verdiepingloos pand onder met blauwe pannen gedekt zadeldak tussen tuitgevels, met aan de achterzijde twee aanbouwen onder lessenaarsdak, waarvan het zuidoostelijke gemengd is gedekt met rode en blauwe pannen en het zuidwestelijke met uitsluitend rode pannen, gescheiden door een brandmuur.
Het geheel is uitgevoerd in gele ijsselsteen, deels gepleisterd.
In de voorgevel de ingang met houten paneeldeur, drie zesruitsschuifvensters; in de lange oostgevel twee T-vensters en een zij-ingang; de westelijke zijgevel is vrijwel blind. De zuidwestelijke aanbouw bevat aan de noordzijde twee halfronde stalvensters.
Kenmerkende 19e-eeuwse molenaarswoning in eenvoudige, traditionele trant, uitsluitend van belang wegens de relatie met de naastgelegen korenmolen 'de Hoop'.

Description
A 19th-century MILLER'S HOUSE originally built for the adjoining corn mill 'de Hoop', consisting of a single-storey building beneath a gabled roof tiled with blue tiles flanked by spout gables, with two lean-to extensions on the rear side, the south-eastern one mixed-tiled with red and blue tiles and the south-western one tiled exclusively with red tiles, separated by a firewall.
The whole is executed in yellow IJssel brick, partly plastered.
In the front facade the entrance with wooden panelled door, three six-light sash windows; in the long east gable two T-windows and a side entrance; the western side gable is virtually blind. The south-western extension contains two semi-circular stable windows on the north side.
Characteristic 19th-century miller's house in simple, traditional style, of importance solely on account of its relationship with the adjoining corn mill 'de Hoop'.
