Omschrijving
Landschappelijk belangrijk tussen Nijemirdum en de IJsselmeerdijk in de Huitebuursterpolder gelegen monnikmolen (grondzeiler), geheten 't Zwaantje.
In aanleg van ca. 1790 daterende, doch na brand in 1893 herbouwde poldermolen, die tot 1946 de Huitbuursterpolder op windkracht bemaalde. Bij gelegenheid van de installatie van een dieselmotor verloor de molen kap en wiekenkruis. In de jaren '70 kwam de molen stil te liggen. Restauratie vond plaats in 1986-'87.
De molen is thans te omschrijven als:Poldermolen (achtkante bovenkruier) met zwaar gefundeerde uit gele Friese baksteen opgetrokken achtkante voet, waarop met riet gedekt houten achtkant; gedeelten van kap, wiekenkruis, staartwerk inrichting zijn vernieuwd of afkomstig van de vergelijkbare afgebroken poldermolen 'De Noordster' te Nieuwe Bildtdijk.
Gerestaureerde poldermolen achtkante bovenkruier van algemeen belang voor de (Friese) molengeschiedenis en voor de bemalingsgeschiedenis van de Friese polders, in het bijzonder van die van de Huitebuursterpolder.

Description
Landscape-important monnik mill (ground-sailer), called 't Zwaantje, located between Nijemirdum and the IJsselmeerdijk in the Huitebuursterpolder.
A polder mill dating in layout from circa 1790, but rebuilt after a fire in 1893, which until 1946 pumped out the Huitbuursterpolder using wind power. On the occasion of the installation of a diesel motor the mill lost its cap and sails. In the 1970s the mill came to a standstill. Restoration took place in 1986-87.
The mill is presently to be described as: Polder mill (octagonal upper rotating head) with heavily founded octagonal base erected in yellow Frisian brick, on which an octagonal wooden structure thatched with reed; sections of cap, sail cross, tail work and interior have been renewed or come from the comparable demolished polder mill 'De Noordster' at Nieuwe Bildtdijk.
Restored polder mill octagonal upper rotating head of general significance for (Frisian) mill history and for the history of pumping in the Frisian polders, in particular that of the Huitebuursterpolder.
