The register's description

In 1909 designed by W. te Riele Gzn., built in 1910-11, neo-Gothic CRUCIFORM BASILICA, called H. Lambertus, with a four-sided entrance tower and polygonal closed choir, with two side chapels of the same type and a baptistry; adjoining each of the two transept arms a side chapel; associated with the freestanding parsonage on the right side.

The tower, which is fitted all around with two elongated sound holes and a clock, is crowned by a low lantern with four corner turrets and an octagonal spire, which like the roof turret is covered in slate.

The church, erected in brick, contains pointed-arch windows of varying size with natural stone tracery and leaded-glass filling, mostly with simple, geometrical patterns, in the choir and transept partly with religious representations. The church is concluded by an arrangement of gabled, hipped and catslide roofs, covered in slate. The not fully symmetrical ground plan is centralized in layout, with the side aisles increasing in width by steps from the entrance section and the choir flanked by two polygonal, less deeply projecting, side chapels; furthermore the six-sided baptistry and at the transept arms two straight-ended side chapels.

The interior, executed in fair-faced brickwork and whitewashed around the windows and in the vault fields, is covered at the broad, four-bay nave and transept by net and star vaults, at the half-as-deep side aisles by cross-rib vaults, and is divided into three aisles by round brick pillars with wide intercolumniation; at the choir articulated pillars.

The double-shell clerestory walls are fitted all around with a triforium.

The neo-Gothic interior also includes: the richly decorated altar, the wooden Marianum, the carved pulpit, supported by St. Lambert, the painted Stations of the Cross, several coloured holy statues, as well as the confessionals.

For the work of the late neo-Gothic architect te Riele characteristic church, of centralized layout, with distinctive tower and well-preserved interior, as such of significance on account of its architectural-historical value.
