Omschrijving
COURTINE IV-V MET BRIELLER POORT EN WACHTHUIS. Rechte wal met:
- nabij het midden een recent vernieuwde duikersluis (voorheen inundatiesluis);
- nabij bastion V een open doorgang door de wal, geflankeerd door keermuren (voorheen Brieller Poort); aan stads- en veldzijde aansluitende vleugelmuren;
- nabij de doorgang aan de Opzoomerlaan 126 een gemetseld rechthoekig wachthuis uit 1823, voorzien van met pannen gedekt schilddak waarop hoekschoorstenen; aan de voorzijde een open arcadenrij op eenvoudige gemetselde pijlers (gebouw II);
- voorliggende gracht ter breedte van:
- nabij bastion IV pl.m. 70 meter;
- nabij bastion V pl.m. 55 meter.
Dit complexdeel wordt v.w.b. perceel nr 2257 aan de zuidzijde begrensd door een lijn evenwijdig aan de noordgrens van het perceel op een afstand van 115 meter van die noordgrens.

Description
CURTAIN IV-V WITH BRIELLE GATE AND GUARDHOUSE. Straight rampart with:
- near the middle a recently renewed culvert sluice (formerly inundation sluice);
- near bastion V an open passage through the rampart, flanked by retaining walls (formerly Brielle Gate); adjoining wing walls on town and field sides;
- near the passage at Opzoomerlaan 126 a masonry rectangular guardhouse from 1823, fitted with a tile-covered hipped roof with corner chimneys; on the front side an open arcade row on simple masonry piers (building II);
- foreground moat with width of:
- near bastion IV approximately 70 metres;
- near bastion V approximately 55 metres.
This complex section is bounded as regards plot no. 2257 on the south side by a line parallel to the northern boundary of the plot at a distance of 115 metres from that northern boundary.
