Omschrijving
HOUTZAGERIJ. Van de in 1721 gebouwde molen "de Ster" resteert nog de onderbouw met zagerij, die het meest oostelijk op het terrein is gesitueerd.
Hiervan is het centrale gedeelte, waarop tot 1911 de achtkante stellingmolen rustte, in het begin van deze eeuw hoger opgetrokken onder flauw hellend zadeldak, en oostwaarts uitgebreid met een plat afgedekte aanbouw, beide met staand beschot en moderne raam- en deuropeningen. De met liggend beschot onder pannen zadeldak opgetrokken zuidvleugel is voorzien van een ingezwenkte frontgevel met achtpuntige ster in de top, en twee achtruitsvensters boven de toegang bij de aansluitende sleephelling; in de lange zijgevels lage vensters met kleine onderverdeling en een zij-ingang. De met liggend beschot onder pannen zadeldak opgetrokken noordvleugel wordt afgesloten door een puntgevel met twee negenruitsvensters boven de dubbele inrijdeuren.
Aan de westzijde de in de 19e eeuw aangekapte zijbaan, die boven in de korte gevels een dertigruitsvenster bevat boven de dubbele inrijdeuren, waardoorheen destijds een lorriespoor liep; de lange zijgevel is inmiddels van moderne vensters voorzien.
Inwendig resteert nog in het centrale gedeelte de oorspronkelijke opbouw van de molen, met gemetselde zaagselkelder en met geschilderde notitieborden - blauw fond met witte omranding en strik - op de zeven nog aanwezige korbelen; voorts resteert verspreid over de hele zagerij nog grotendeels het drijfwerk en de machinerie, die deels uit 1860 en deels uit 1921 dateren, laatstelijk elektrisch aangedreven, ten behoeve van het zagerijbedrijf.

Description
SAWMILL. From the mill "de Ster" built in 1721, the substructure with sawmill, which is situated most easterly on the site, remains.
Of this, the central section, on which until 1911 the octagonal standing mill rested, was raised higher at the beginning of this century under a gently sloping gabled roof, and extended eastwards with a flat-roofed outbuilding, both with vertical boarding and modern window and door openings. The south wing, constructed with horizontal boarding under a tiled gabled roof, is provided with a recessed front gable with eight-pointed star in the apex, and two eight-light windows above the access at the adjoining slope; in the long side gables low windows with small subdivision and a side entrance. The north wing, constructed with horizontal boarding under a tiled gabled roof, is closed off by a pointed gable with two nine-light windows above the double cargo doors.
On the west side the side bay attached in the 19th century, which above in the short gables contains a thirteen-light window above the double cargo doors, through which a lorry track formerly ran; the long side gable has since been provided with modern windows.
Internally the original structure of the mill remains in the central section, with masonry sawdust cellar and with painted notice boards - blue ground with white border and ribbon - on the seven corbels still present; furthermore the drive mechanism and machinery, scattered throughout the entire sawmill, largely remain, dating partly from 1860 and partly from 1921, latterly electrically driven, for the purpose of the sawmill business.
