Omschrijving
Nederlands-hervormde pastorie. Klein kasteeltje, gesticht circa 1565 en bestaande uit een middengedeelte onder zadeldak tussen puntgevels met rechts een zeshoekige traptoren met ingesnoerde spits.
Zijvleugels onder lessenaarsdaken aan weerskanten; achtervleugel met topgevel, waarvan de contouren in- en uitgezwenkt zijn, met overhoekse pilasters. De voorgevel, drie vensterassen breed, is verlevendigd door natuurstenen banden, gebeeldhouwde cartouches, koppen in medaillons, frontons, geblokte ontlastingsbogen boven de parterrevensters en sierankers.
Vensters met kruiskozijnen; deur met accolade-vormig getoogd kalf, gesneden latei en boven het bovenlicht een segmentvormige boog met reliëfvulling.
De zijvleugels hebben een zelfde ornamentatie als het middendeel: de achtervleugel is soberder uitgevoerd met banden, geblokte ontlastingsbogen en sierankers. Description
Dutch Reformed parsonage. Small castle, founded circa 1565 and consisting of a central section under gabled roof between pointed gables with on the right a hexagonal staircase tower with tapering spire.
Side wings under lean-to roofs on either side; rear wing with stepped gable, whose contours are curved in and out, with diagonal pilasters. The front facade, three window axes wide, is enlivened by natural stone bands, carved cartouches, heads in medallions, pediments, rusticated relieving arches above the ground-floor windows and ornamental wall anchors.
Windows with cross windows; door with accolade-shaped arched calf, carved lintel and above the fanlight a segmental arch with relief filling.
The side wings have the same ornamentation as the central section: the rear wing is more soberly executed with bands, rusticated relieving arches and ornamental wall anchors. The staircase tower also has natural stone bands. Inside beam ceilings with main and secondary timbers, carved keystones and fragments of a sandstone Renaissance fireplace.
