Omschrijving
"Puttergemaal" van de polder Arkemheen, Arlersteeg 32. Stoomgemaal met een scheprad, dat niet is overdekt. Machinehuis en ketelhuis naast elkaar, beide onder zadeldaken tussen puntgevels. Gietijzeren rondboogvensters in het ketelhuis, gietijzeren goot. Schoorsteen op lage sokkel. Gebouwd in 1885. Inventaris: In het machinehuis een eencilinder dubbelwerkende stoommachine met stoomschuif (Sepp & Co, Enschede, 1885, met toebehoren). Het vliegwiel is van gietijzer, evenals de tandwieloverbrenging, Het scheprad is van gietijzer en staal. In het ketelhuis een liggende ketel met een voorgang (Machinefabriek "breda", 1912) met toebehoren. Tot het complex van het Puttergemaal behoort ook een machinistenwoning, Arlersteeg 30. Inventory: In the engine house a single-cylinder double-acting steam engine with steam valve (Sepp & Co, Enschede, 1885, with accessories). The flywheel is of cast iron, as is the gear drive. The scoop wheel is of cast iron and steel. In the boiler house a horizontal boiler with a furnace (Machinefabriek "breda", 1912) with accessories. The complex of the Puttergemaal also includes a pump operator's house, Arlersteeg 30. Plastered detached building under gabled roof with pointed gables. The complex is a well-preserved and representative example of a small scoop wheel pumping station from the flourishing period of scoop wheel pumping stations with normal, horizontal machines.
