Grote of Nieuwe KERK (Ned. Herv.). Bakstenen bouwwerk (1629-'39), naar het voorbeeld van de Amsterdamse Noorderkerk in plattegrond een Grieks kruis beslaand, waarvan de hoeken zijn afgeschuind. Venstertraceringen en steunberen vertonen een gotiserend uiterlijk, evenals de boogfriezen onder de daklijsten en het traptorentje op de zuidoosthoek. Houten dakruiter op de kruising. Slanke westelijke toren (1648-'50 door Arent van 's-Gravendsande) met sierlijke houten bovenbouw van een vierkant en twee open achtkante geledingen. Inwendig houten tongewelven, vier kruispijlers, waartegen halve zuilen en overigens vrijstaande zuilen. Waardevolle inventaris: koorhek met hoger middendeel, bekroond door frontons, preekstoel met doophek, rijk gesneden herengestoelte tegenover de kansel, alles midden XVII. Vijf koperen kronen (XVIII). Tekstbord in renaissancevormen en gildebord der Vissers (1649) met zeegezichten, geschilderd door A. van Beyeren. Orgel met Hoofdwerk, Bovenwerk, Rugwerk en vrij Pedaal, in 1732 gemaakt door R. Garrels. Sinds de bouwtijd vele keren gerestaureerd en gewijzigd. Bij de restauratie in 1978 werd de dispositie in 18e eeuwse stijl hersteld. De toegevoegde Pedaal-registers achter de orgelkas vallen buiten de bescherming. In de zuid-oostelijke hoek tussen de beide kruisarmen een natuurstenen poort in De Keyserstrant. Restauratie 1943-'47. Eikenhouten klokkenstoel uit ca. 1645 met gelui bestaande uit een klok van F. Simon en J. Paris, 1655, diam. 152,1 cm, een klok van een anonieme gieter, 1639, diam. 30 cm. Mechanische smeedijzeren torenuurwerk, 1639, Coenraet Hermensz Brinkman. Dubbele zonnewijzer.

Great or New CHURCH (Dutch Reformed). Brick building (1629-'39), following the example of the Amsterdam Noorderkerk in plan a Greek cross comprising the space, the corners of which are bevelled. Internally wooden barrel vaults, four crossing pillars, against which half columns and otherwise free-standing columns. Valuable furnishings: choir screen with higher centre part, crowned by pediments, pulpit with baptismal gate, richly carved gentleman's pew opposite the pulpit, all mid XVII. Five brass crowns (XVIII). Text board in renaissance forms and fishermen's guild board (1649) with seascapes, painted by A. van Beyeren. Organ with Great Work, Upper Work, Rückpositive and free Pedal, made in 1732 by R. Garrels. Restored and altered many times since the building date. At restoration in 1978 the disposition was restored in 18th century style. The added Pedal registers behind the organ case fall outside the protection. In the south-eastern corner between the two transept arms a natural stone door on the De Keyserstrant. Restoration 1943-'47. Oak bell frame from circa 1645 with chime consisting of a bell by F.
