VERDEDIGINGSWERKEN. Aan de zuid-, oost- en westzijde is de omgrachting bewaard gebleven, ten dele met de in XVI d en XVII opgeworpen aarden wallen in singels veranderd. Bij de Nieuwstad staat op de wal een kanon (XVIII).

Description
FORTIFICATIONS. The moat has been preserved on the south, east and west sides, partly changed into lanes with the earthen ramparts constructed in the second half of the 16th century and 17th century. A cannon (18th century) stands on the rampart at the Nieuwstad.
