Rechthoekig, aan de uiteinden aan de voorzijde inspringend blok van twee WONINGEN met halve verdieping onder met pannen gedekt schilddak, dat in het midden aan de voor- en achterzijde wat verder doorloopt, en met een decoratie - kegel met bollen en ringen - in tichelwerk op de nokeinden; aan de voorzijde insteekkap (mansardekap) tegen puntgevel; aan de achterzijde insteekkap (zadeldak) tegen puntgevel. In voor- en zijgevel(s) op verdiepingshoogte decoratie met verdiepte velden en veldjes, waaronder in de zijgevels en het middengedeelte van de voorgevel een dubbele rij muizetanden. In voor-, zij- en achtergevel(s) getoogde T-vensters, ten dele met 4-ruits bovenlicht. Deuren met venster en getoogd bovenlicht. De in baksteen opgetrokken woningen zijn witgeverfd met zwarte plint. De woningen met afzonderlijke (vrijwel) rechthoekige, door afscheiding omgrensde erven dateren uit de jaren 1907-1909 zijn ontworpen door A.Reichpietsch en vormen een deel van de mijnwerkerskolonie "Hopel", welke in opdracht van de mijn Laura & Vereeniging werd gebouwd.

Description
Rectangular block of two DWELLINGS with a half storey recessed at the ends on the front side, under a hipped roof tiled with pantiles, which extends somewhat further in the middle on the front and rear, and with a decoration - cone with balls and rings - in tilework on the ridge ends; on the front side a mansard insert (mansard roof) against a gable; on the rear side a mansard insert (gabled roof) against a gable. In front and side facade(s) at storey height decoration with recessed fields and small fields, including in the side facades and the middle section of the front facade a double row of dentils. In front, side and rear facade(s) arched T-windows, partly with 4-pane fanlights. Doors with window and arched fanlight. The dwellings built in brick are whitewashed with black plinth. The dwellings with separate (virtually) rectangular plots bounded by divisions date from the years 1907-1909, were designed by A. Reichpietsch and form part of the miners' colony "Hopel", which was built on the instructions of the Laura & Vereeniging mine.
