Blok van vier WONINGEN zonder verdieping onder met pannen gedekt mansardedak; de eindwoningen springen aan de voorzijde geheel en aan de achterzijde gedeeltelijk iets uit en hebben aan de voor- en achterzijde over de gehele breedte een insteekkap (mansardekap) tegen puntgevels; de middenwoningen hebben tesamen een brede dakkapel met twee grote vensters aan de voorzijde en aan de achterzijde een gedeeltelijk hoger opgetrokken achtergevel met voor elk der woningen een rechtgesloten T-venster. De woningen hebben aan de voorzijde op de begane grond schuifvensters met 4-ruits bovenlicht en voor het overige rechtgesloten T-vensters. Zij hebben deuren met een gedeeld venster. De eindwoningen hebben een aan de voor- en zijkant open, inpandig portiek. De in baksteen opgetrokken woningen zijn wit geverfd met zwarte plint. De woningen met afzonderlijke (vrijwel) rechthoekige, door afscheiding omgrensde erven dateren uit ca.1910 en vormen een deel van de mijnwerkerskolonie "Hopel", welke in opdracht van de mijn Laura & Vereeniging werd gebouwd.

Description
Block of four dwellings without a storey underneath with a mansard roof covered with tiles; the end dwellings project wholly on the front side and partially on the rear side and have on the front and rear sides across the full width an inset roof (mansard roof) against gabled roofs; the middle dwellings together have a broad roof dormer with two large windows on the front side and on the rear side a partially higher built rear facade with for each of the dwellings a right-angled T-window. The dwellings have on the front side at ground level sash windows with 4-pane fanlights and otherwise right-angled T-windows. They have doors with a divided window. The end dwellings have a portico that is open on the front and side, integrated within the building. The dwellings constructed in brick are painted white with black plinth. The dwellings with separate (virtually) rectangular, fenced-off yards date from circa 1910 and form part of the miners' colony "Hopel", which was built on commission of the mine Laura & Vereeniging.
