Rechthoekig, aan de uiteinden voor inspringend en achter rechthoekig uitspringend blok van twee WONINGEN met een halve verdieping; het middengedeelte onder zadeldak met aan de voorzijde, een hoge, brede insteekkap (zadeldak) tegen puntgevel met (oorspronkelijk) houten decoratie in de geveltop en met aan de achterzijde een lagere en smallere insteekkap (zadeldak); het wat lagere middengedeelte aan de uiteinden onder wolfdak met op de nokeinden een decoratie - kegel met bollen en ringen - in tichelwerk; de aanbouw tegen de achterzijde onder lessenaardak; alle daken zijn gedekt met pannen. In de voor- en zijgevel(s) getoogde T-vensters met 4-ruits bovenlicht; deuren met venster en getoogd bovenlicht. De voorgevel en het wat lagere gedeelte aan de uiteinden hebben op verdiepingshoogte een decoratie met verdiepte velden en veldjes, waaronder in de voorgevel een in het midden onderbroken dubbele rij muizetanden. De in baksteen opgetrokken woningen zijn witgeverfd met zwarte plint. De woningen met afzonderlijke (vrijwel) rechthoekige, door afscheiding omgrensde erven dateren uit de jaren 1907-1909, zijn ontworpen door A.Reichpietsch en vormen een onderdeel van de mijnwerkerskolonie "Hopel", welk in opdracht van de mijn Laura & Vereeniging werd gebouwd.

Description
Rectangular block recessed at the ends at the front and rectangular projecting at the rear of two dwellings with a half storey; the middle section under a gabled roof with on the front side a high, broad inset roof (gabled roof) against gabled roof with (originally) wooden decoration in the gable top and with on the rear side a lower and narrower inset roof (gabled roof); the somewhat lower middle section at the ends under a half-hipped roof with on the ridge ends a decoration - cone with spheres and rings - in brickwork; the annexe against the rear side under a lean-to roof; all roofs are covered with tiles. In the front and side facade(s) arched T-windows with 4-pane fanlights; doors with window and arched fanlight. The front facade and the somewhat lower section at the ends have at storey height a decoration with recessed fields and fieldlets, underneath which in the front facade a double row of mouse-tooth pattern interrupted in the middle. The dwellings constructed in brick are painted white with black plinth. The dwellings with separate (virtually) rectangular, fenced-off yards date from the years 1907-1909, were designed by A.Reichpietsch and form a component of the miners' colony "Hopel", which was built on commission of the mine Laura & Vereeniging.
