Omschrijving
Rechthoekig, aan de uiteinden inspringend blok van zes woningen met een halve verdieping onder met pannen gedekt wolfdak met op de nokeinden een decoratie - kegel met bol - in tichelwerk. Aan de straatzijde per twee woningen een insteekkap met ingezwenkte geveltop bekroond door halfrond, gemetseld fronton afgedekt met natuurstenen lijst met voluutkrullen; in de geveltop een sieranker. In de voorgevel op verdiepingshoogte een brede band van verdiepte veldjes waartussen onder de verdiepingsvensters een smalle band van siermetselwerk. Op de begane grond rechtgesloten T-vensters en 4-ruits bovenlicht en deuren met 6-ruits venster en bovenlicht; op de verdieping getoogde T-vensters met 4-ruits bovenlicht. De in baksteen opgetrokken woningen zijn wit geverfd met zwarte plint. Achter de woningen drie blokjes twee schuurtjes onder lessenaarsdak gedekt met pannen. De woningen met afzonderlijke, rechthoekige, door afscheiding omgrensde erven dateren uit de jaren 1907-1909, zijn ontworpen door A.Reichpietsch en vormen een deel van de mijnwerkerskolonie "Hopel", welke in opdracht van de mijn Laura & Vereeniging werd gebouwd.

Description
Rectangular block of six dwellings recessed at the ends with a half storey underneath with a half-hipped roof covered with tiles with on the ridge ends a decoration - cone with sphere - in brickwork. On the street side per two dwellings an inset roof with angled gable top crowned by a half-round, mortared fronton covered with natural stone moulding with scroll curls; in the gable top an ornamental wall anchor. In the front facade at storey height a broad band of recessed fields with underneath the storey windows a narrow band of ornamental brickwork. At ground level right-angled T-windows and 4-pane fanlights and doors with 6-pane window and fanlight; on the storey arched T-windows with 4-pane fanlights. The dwellings constructed in brick are painted white with black plinth. Behind the dwellings three blocks of two sheds under a lean-to roof covered with tiles. The dwellings with separate, rectangular, fenced-off yards date from the years 1907-1909, were designed by A.Reichpietsch and form part of the miners' colony "Hopel", which was built on commission of the mine Laura & Vereeniging.
