Omschrijving
H. Joannes de Doper. Gebouwd in 1857-1860 door architect P.J. Soffers. Driebeukige hallenkerk in sobere baksteenvormen. Voorbeeld van de zogenaamde stukadoorsgotiek. Toren met achtkant en naaldspits, uitgebouwd westportaal. Gelede pijlers; over de middenbeuk een gestukadoord houten tongewelf met kruisribben, over de zijbeuken kruisribgewelven eveneens van gestukadoord hout. In 1898 uitgebreid met transeptachtige, dubbele kapallen aan weerszijden. Mechanisch torenuurwerk, B. Eijsbouts, 1931.

St. John the Baptist. Built in 1857-1860 by architect P.J. Soffers. Three-aisle hall church in sober brick forms. Example of the so-called stuccoed gothic. Tower with octagonal section and needle spire, extended west portal. Articulated pillars; over the central aisle a stuccoed wooden barrel vault with cross ribs, over the side aisles cross-rib vaults likewise of stuccoed wood. In 1898 extended with transept-like, double side chapels. Mechanical tower clock, B. Eijsbouts, 1931.
