Omschrijving
GENTSE POORT. Gewelfd gemetselde enkelvoudige doorgang van baksteen met een kromming tunnelsgewijs aangebracht in de aarden vestingwal. Aan de landzijde een sierpoort met natuurstenen onderdelen n.l. een dubbele pilaster aan beide zijden van de poortboog en een op de pilasters gelegd hoofdgestel. Op de bakstenen attiek drie natuurstenen trofeeen, de middelste met het Generaliteitswapen. Aan de landzijde een eenvoudige bakstenen boogpoort, gevat in een met de loop van het aardwerk ter plaatse hol gebogen aanzetten.

Description
GENTSE POORT. Vaulted brick-built simple passageway with a curve tunnel-wise arranged in the earthen fortification wall. On the land side a decorative gate with natural stone components namely a double pilaster on both sides of the arch and a main beam laid on the pilasters. On the brick attic three natural stone trophies, the middle one with the Generality coat of arms. On the land side a simple brick arched gate, set in a hollow bend following the earthwork in place.
