Door Jhr.Mr. P.J.Bosch van Drakestein aan de stad Den Bosch geschonken "Drakenfontein"; in 1903 door J.Dony vervaardigde zandstenen fontein bestaande uit een rond bassin met in het midden een rond, van drie treden voorzien plateau, waarop een forse vierkant sokkel bekroond door een iets taps toelopende zuil met fantasie kapiteel.
De sokkel heeft sierlijke overhoekse steunberen, die aan de bovenzijde uitwaaieren in bladwerk rond het basement van de zuil en aan de voet van het plateau uitlopend in sokkels, waarop een waterspuwende koperen draak met langs de steunbeer oplopende staart en uitgeslagen vleugels.
Aan de noord- en zuidzijde van de sokkel een waterspuwende drakekop in bas-reliëf; aan de westzijde een inscriptie; aan de oostzijde een koperen plaquette.
De zuilschacht is gedecoreerd met een naar beneden wervelende draak in bas-reliëf. Op de zuil een schildhoudende koperen draak met uitgeslagen vleugels en rond de zuil geslagen staart.

Description
Presented to the city of Den Bosch by Jhr.Mr. P.J.Bosch van Drakestein "Drakenfontein"; a sandstone fountain made by J.Dony in 1903 consisting of a round basin with in the middle a round plateau provided with three steps, on which a sturdy square plinth crowned by a slightly tapering column with fantasy capital.
The plinth has elegant diagonal buttresses, which at the top fan out in foliage around the base of the column and at the foot of the plateau terminate in plinths, on which a water-spouting copper dragon with tail climbing up the buttress and spread wings.
On the north and south side of the plinth a water-spouting dragon head in bas-relief; on the west side an inscription; on the east side a copper plaque.
The column shaft is decorated with a downward swirling dragon in bas-relief. On the column a shield-bearing copper dragon with spread wings and tail wound around the column.
