SCHACHTGEBOUW van schacht I, schachtbok van schacht II en ophaalgebouw met daarin aanwezige ophaalmachine van schacht II, gebouwd omstreeks 1897 ten behoeve van de voormalige mijn Oranje Nassau I. Het schachtgebouw, een zgn. "Malakow-toren" is in baksteen opgetrokken, heeft een vierkante plattegrond, telt twee verdiepingen en is vlak gedekt. De gevels zijn door lisenen verdeeld in drie traveeën met aan de bovenzijde tussen de lisenen een rondboogfries, zijn afgesloten door een breda, iets uitkragende bakstenen lijst en hebben torentjes met kantelen op de hoeken. Per travee op de begane grond twee gekoppelde getoogde nissen; op de eerste verdieping twee gekoppelde rondboog-vensters/nissen; op de tweede verdieping een groot rondboogvenster. Dit met uitzondering van middelste travee van voorgevel. De open stalen schachtbok van schacht II behoort tot het type, zoals dat omstreeks 1900 in het Saargebied ontwikkeld is, en is in later tijd enigszins verzwaard. Het ophaalgebouw van schacht II heeft eenzelfde vormgeving als het schachtgebouw van schacht I, doch heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, heeft slechts een verdieping en halfronde vensters op de begane grond. In het ophaalgebouw is aanwezig de oorspronkelijke ophaalmachine, een in 1897 bij A. Mehler te Aken vervaardigde stoommachine, die later omgebouwd is op perslucht en waarvan de oorspronkelijke kabeltrommel werd vervangen door een Koepe-schijf.

Description
HEADFRAME BUILDING of shaft I, headframe of shaft II and winding house with the winding machine present therein of shaft II, built circa 1897 for the former mine Oranje Nassau I. The headframe building, a so-called "Malakow tower" is constructed in brick, has a square floor plan, comprises two storeys and is flat-roofed. The façades are divided by pilasters into three bays with a semicircular frieze between the pilasters at the top, are terminated by a broad, slightly projecting brick cornice and have turrets with crenellations at the corners. Per bay on the ground floor two coupled arched niches; on the first storey two coupled semicircular windows/niches; on the second storey a large semicircular window. This with the exception of the central bay of the front façade. The open steel headframe of shaft II belongs to the type as developed circa 1900 in the Saarland, and was somewhat reinforced at a later time. The winding house of shaft II has the same design as the headframe building of shaft I, but has a rectangular floor plan, has only one storey and semicircular windows on the ground floor. In the winding house is present the original winding machine, a steam engine manufactured in 1897 at A. Mehler in Aachen, which was later converted to compressed air and whose original rope drum was replaced by a Koepe pulley.
