In schoon metselwerk - met gepleisterde banden en blokken - opgetrokken blok van vier WONINGEN, waarvan de risalerende uiteinden met verdieping onder met rode muldenpannen gedekt wolfdak (nok 1 straat) en het middenstuk met verdiep onder met rode muldenpannen gedekt zadeldak (nok/straat); aan de voorzijde middenrisaliet onder insteekkap met wolfeind en aan weerszijden daarvan een brede, lage dakkapel; aan de achterzijde - symmetrisch t.o.v. de middenas - twee T-vormige aanbouwen (gangen en bijkeukens) zonder verdieping onder zadeldaken; getoogde T-vensters met 4- en 8-ruits bovenlichten; getoogde deuren in het middenrisaliet en deuren met getoogd 6-ruits bovenlichten in de zijgevels. De woningen zijn mogelijk naar ontwerp van arch.Lugten in 1914 gebouwd door de Oranje Nassau Mijnen ten behoeve van vier opzichters van de mijn Oranje Nassau III en vormen door de aanleg, waarin de hierachische opbouw van het mijnwezen tot uiting komt, en door de eenheid in architectuur, kleur- en materiaalgebruik tesamen met Ganzeweide 27 t/m 33a en 43 t/m 49 het meest gave voorbeeld van de woningbouw voor (hogere) mijnbeambten.

Description
A block of four DWELLINGS erected in fair brickwork - with rendered bands and blocks - with projecting end sections with storeys beneath, covered with red half-barrel tiles in a half-hipped roof (ridge 1 street) and the central section with storey beneath, covered with red half-barrel tiles in a gabled roof (ridge/street); on the front elevation a central risalit beneath an embedded cap with half-hip gable and on either side thereof a broad, low roof dormer; on the rear elevation - symmetrical with respect to the central axis - two T-shaped annexes (corridors and sculleries) without storeys beneath gabled roofs; arched T-windows with 4- and 8-pane fanlights; arched doors in the central risalit and doors with arched 6-pane fanlights in the side elevations. The dwellings were possibly built to the design of architect Lugten in 1914 by the Oranje Nassau Mines on behalf of four overseers of the Oranje Nassau III mine and form, through their layout, in which the hierarchical structure of the mining system is expressed, and through the unity in architecture, colour and material use, together with Ganzeweide 27 to 33a and 43 to 49 the most intact example of housing for (senior) mining officials.
