Kurhaus, 1884-1885, door de architecten J.F. Henkenhaf en F. Ebert.
Herbouwd met enkel wijzigingen na een brand, 1886-1887.
Belangrijk voorbeeld van neo-renaissance-architectuur in maniëristische 16e-eeuwse trant.
LANGWERPIG GEBOUW met uitspringende middengedeelte, waarin de grote concertzaal, bekroond door een koepel en geflankeerd door hoekpaviljoens met koepels.
Aan de uiteinden van het naar de zee gekeerde front naar voren springende zijvleugels, die het Kurhausterras omvatten.
De gevel aan het Gevers Deynootplein heeft aan de uiteinden risalieten en wordt geleed door pilasters van de kolossale orde. De gevel aan de zeezijde is in arcaden opgelost.
Restanten van de oorspronkelijke inrichting en fragmenten van Art-Nouveau-interieurs zijn echter latere betimmeringen bewaard gebleven.

Important example of neo-renaissance architecture in mannerist 16th-century manner.
OBLONG BUILDING with projecting central section, containing the large concert hall, crowned by a dome and flanked by corner pavilions with domes.
At the ends of the front facing the sea projecting side wings, which comprise the Kurhaus terrace.
The facade facing Gevers Deynootplein has risalits at the ends and is articulated by pilasters of the colossal order. The facade on the sea side is articulated in arcades.
Remnants of the original furnishings and fragments of Art Nouveau interiors have, however, been preserved under later woodwork.
Townscape-wise the building fulfils an important function for the aspect of the seaside resort: from the sea side through the successful composition of the projecting wings and the dome as dominating element; from the land side particularly through its situation as the endpoint of the axis formed by the Badhuisweg.
