Omschrijving
Dalempoort. Rechthoekig bouwwerk, gedekt door een tentdak met koepeltorentje (ca.1600), in de Zuid-Oosthoek van het stadje. De poortdoorgang is overwelfd door een tongewelf en een ribloos kruisgewelf.
Aan de stads- en aan de rivierzijde is de poort in 1770 vergroot.
De gevel aan de stadszijde heeft een versiering van natuurstenen banden en hoekblokken, alsmede muurankers. Aan de rivierzijde eenvoudiger gevel. Onder de daklijst consoles en op de hoeken aan de rivierzijde gesneden satireconsoles.

Description
Dalempoort. Rectangular structure, covered by a tent roof with cupola tower (ca.1600), in the South-East corner of the town. The gateway passage is vaulted with a barrel vault and a seamless cross vault.
On the town side and on the river side the gate was enlarged in 1770.
The facade on the town side has a decoration of natural stone bands and corner blocks, as well as ornamental wall anchors. On the river side simpler facade. Below the eaves cornice consoles and at the corners on the river side carved satirical consoles.
