In schoon metselwerk opgetrokken blok van twee woningen met verdiep onder met rode muldenpannen gedekt zadeldak (rechts; nok evenwijdig aan de straat) en haaks daaropstaand wolfdak (links), met geprofileerde houten gootlijsten en windveren; tegen de zijgevels aangebouwd een voormalig stalletje (thans keuken) onder met rode muldenpannen gedekt zadeldak en daarachter een vlakgedekte aanbouw uit ca. 1955; plint, (hoek)pilasters en decoratieve details gepleisterd; getoogde vensters met getoogde bovendorpels. De woningen (1916/1917), gelegen temidden van de afzonderlijke erven, zijn een deel van e in 1913-1918 door de Oranje Nassau Mijnen gebouwde mijnwerkerskolonie 'Schaesberg', die door zijn stedebouwkundige aanleg en overeenkomsten in architectuur, kleur- en materiaalgebruik een eenheid vormt en die een der gaafste en voor Nederland vrij zeldzame voorbeelden is van de op de internationale, 19e eeuwse (XIX B) traditie gebaseerde arbeiderswoningbouw door industrielen.

Description
Block of two dwellings built in fine brickwork with storey below covered with red pantile gabled roof (right; ridge parallel to the street) and half-hipped roof at right angles (left), with moulded wooden drip mouldings and wind vanes; against the side facades attached a former small stable (now kitchen) below with red pantile gabled roof and behind it a flat-roofed extension from circa 1955; plinth, (corner) pilasters and decorative details rendered; arched windows with arched hood-moulds. The dwellings (1916/1917), situated among individual plots, are part of a miners' colony 'Schaesberg' built by the Oranje Nassau Mines in 1913-1918, which through its urban planning and similarities in architecture, colour and material use forms a unity and which is one of the most intact and for the Netherlands fairly rare examples of workers' housing construction based on 19th century (second half of the 19th century) international tradition by industrialists.
