Omschrijving
De HOF, omgeven door de restanten van het Augustijnenklooster (gesticht 1275 ?, in 1572 in bezit genomen door de stad, grotendeels daterend van na een brand van 1512), is door natuurstenen poorten toegankelijk vanaf de Voorstraat (nr. 214, poort van 1575) vanaf de Steegoversloot (poort van 1572).
Aansluitend aan de noordgevel van de kerk bevindt zich het overblijfsel van de vroegere kloostergang, waarvan de gedichte spitsboognissen aan de oostzijde zichtbaar zijn. De westgevel en de verdieping zijn met machinale steen beklampt.
Fraai gebouw van algemeen belang wegens bijzondere oudheidkundige en kunsthistorische waarde.

Description
The HOF, surrounded by the remains of the Augustinian monastery (founded 1275?, taken into possession by the city in 1572, largely dating from after a fire of 1512), is accessible through natural stone gates from the Voorstraat (no. 214, gate of 1575) from the Steegoversloot (gate of 1572).
Adjacent to the north facade of the church is the remains of the former cloister walk, of which the closed pointed-arch recesses are visible on the east side. The west facade and the upper storey are clamped with machine-made stone.
Fine building of general importance due to exceptional archaeological and art-historical value.
