Omschrijving
Voormalig Gouverneurshuis, thans Volkenkundig Museum Justinus van Nassau. Op de hoek van de Cingelstraat. Kort na 1606 gebouwd voor de gouverneur der stad Justinus van Nassau. In 1790 uit- en inwendig geheel gewijzigd en gepleisterd. Uit de bouwtijd dagtekent nog het benedendeel van de uitspringende achtkante hoektoren; van 1790 de door motieven in Lodewijk XVI-stijl versierde en gebosseerd gepleisterde ingangspartij en de door een fronton , waarin een leeuw met krijgsattributen, gedekte middenrisaliet aan de Cingelstraat.

Description
Former Governor's House, now Justinus van Nassau Ethnological Museum. On the corner of the Cingelstraat. Built shortly after 1606 for the governor of the city Justinus van Nassau. In 1790 substantially altered inside and out and plastered. From the building period still dates the lower part of the projecting octagonal corner tower; from 1790 the entrance section decorated with Louis XVI style motifs and bossaged plastered, and the centrepiece flanked by a pediment crowned with a lion with military attributes on the Cingelstraat.
