Exterior description and setting
Two storey gabled farm house of 1889, now much extended at the rear, situated at the end of a lane on the W side of the Ballyhaskin Road, just over 1 mile E of Carrowdore.
Front E facade has central segmental arch headed doorway now surrounded by a modern glazed conservatory/porch with a curved roof. To either side of this ‘porch’ is a segmental arch head window opening with sash frame with horizontal glazing bars. Both windows have surrounds with decorated keystones and brackets to cills. Three evenly spaced similar windows to the first floor, set in half dormers, but without surrounds. First floor windows on cill course with brackets.
N gable has a window to the right on the ground and first floors, both as ground floor front.
The S gable has a window to the left on the ground and first floors, the same as previous but with modern frames.
Projecting from the centre of the rear is a very long single storey gabled return the W portion of which is a store. Modern window and door openings to return. Attached to the S facade of this return and to the rear of the main house is a large single storey, flat roofed extension, with large-ish modern windows and door.
The facade of the main house and part of the return is finished in lined render with chamfered quoins and plinth. The extension is finished in rough cast.
The roof of the main house is pitched with asbestos slates, with an overhang at the gables. Two yellow brick chimneys to the main roof. The roof of the return is finished in Bangor blues to the N and asbestos slates to the S. Tall concrete brick chimney to return roof. Mixture of cast iron and PVC rw goods.

Evaluation
Two storey farm house of 1889, in a mildly eclectic style very typical of the period. A modern conservatory/ porch has been added to the front and a large kitchen extension to the rear.
